For the least, the last, and the lost
OUR VISION
A place for the least, the last, and the lost.
OUR PURPOSE
To present the gospel of Jesus Christ and practice Christ-like living in a way that turns unbelievers into devoted believers, and believers into authentic disciples, who will, in turn, go into the world and reach the least, the last, and the lost for Christ.
OUR VALUES
To know God
To make disciples
To do church as a team
To grow in God's grace
THE LEAST
At City Tent, former strangers who were once rejected and neglected now find a strong sense of belonging, where they are celebrated and cherished as precious children of God.
And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’
Matthew 25:40
THE LAST
At City Tent, those who often doubt themselves and feel unnoticed find a place to discover their worth and begin a purposeful journey.
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
2 Corinthians 5:17
THE LOST
At City Tent, seekers of truth and purpose meet their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and begin their transformative journey.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish
but have eternal life.
John 3:16
As a lead pastor, I serve the church by helping people know God and grow in the knowledge and grace of God. My goal on Sunday mornings is to present the Word of God with reverence, diligence, and sincerity through expositional preaching.
My prayer and mission are to equip and empower the present generation, with a specific focus on prayer and being rooted in the Word of God. I am eager to witness the start of revivals across the world. I am delighted to see my congregation falling in love with Jesus, His Word, and taking the gospel to the least, the last, and the lost.
I am married to my beautiful wife, Mildred, whose heart is sold out for Jesus. We are blessed with two children, Bethany and Josiah.
Outside of the office, I love spending time with people and enjoy playing cricket and table tennis. I also take pleasure in having people visit our home and tasting my signature 'Tamil-style fish curry'.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Theology. I have completed two programs: the Discipleship Training School and the School of Worship with YWAM (Youth With A Mission).

Statement of faith
The Bible
We believe the Bible, comprised of Old and New Testaments to be inerrant in the original writings, God-breathed, the complete and authoritative Word of God.
(Matthew 5:18, 2 Timothy 3:14-17; 1 Thessalonians 2:13)
God
We believe in one God, who is Creator of all (Deuteronomy 6:4; Colossians 1:16), who has revealed Himself in three distinct Persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
(2 Corinthians 13:14, Luke 3:21-22, John 15:26, Matthew 28:19)
Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins then arose from the dead and ascended into heaven, where He now is our High Priest and Advocate.
(Romans 8:34; Hebrews 7:25, Matthew 1:18-25; Luke 1:35; Isaiah 53; 1 Corinthians 15:20-23; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Peter 3:22; 1 John 2:1)
Holy Spirit
We believe the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify Jesus Christ, convict men, and guide, instruct and empower the believer. (John 7:38-39; 14:16-17; 15:26; 16:13-14).
We believe that the Holy Spirit is ultimately sovereign in the distribution of spiritual gifts. (1 Corinthians 12:11).
Man
We believe that man was created in the Image of God, but fell into sin. Genesis 1:24-27; 3:1-24. Because of Adam’s fall, humanity has inherited a sinful nature, that all human beings choose to sin (Romans 3:23), and that all sin is exceedingly offensive to God (Romans 6:23). Humanity is utterly unable to remedy this fallen state
(Ephesians 2:1-5,12).
Baptism and the Lord’s supper
We believe that water baptism and the Lord's Supper should be observed by the church. However, they are not a means to salvation.
(Matthew 3:15-16; 28-19; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26)
Salvation
We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only way to salvation for all who believe. Isaiah 53; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Romans 8:1-9. Those who receive Jesus Christ are born of the Holy Spirit and become children of God. Salvation is by faith in Jesus Christ and not by human works; however our works are evidence of our faith and will determine our rewards in eternity (Acts 16:3; Romans 10:9,10; 14:10-12; 2 Corinthians 5:10; Ephesians 2:8,9; Titus 3:5-7; James 2:18)
The Church
We believe that the Church is the Body of Christ. Each believer who believes in Jesus Christ, renewed by the Holy Spirit, (Matthew 14:14-18; Acts 2:32-49; 2 Corinthians 5:8; Philippians 1:23) is an integral part (Ephesians 1:22, 2:19-22; Hebrews 12:23) of Christ’s Body—the Church.
Things to come
ROUTE 714, A prayer movement for children from ages 7-14
an initiative of city tent ministries
Inspired from
2 Chronicles 7:14
if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
Children will learn to pray and understand the importance of prayer.
Children will learn to engage in 'prayer journaling'.
They will learn that It's not just about asking God to meet their needs; it's about knowing God intimately.
Specifically, children will pray for healing, breakthrough, and revival in our land.
The methods of conducting these Route714 sessions include worship, stories, puppets, and more.
